• Pay or shift range: $24.05 CAD to $60.74 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Description

Responsibilities:
• Understanding and following all CIMCO safety and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly jobsite at all times
• Help receive, inventory and document all equipment and material deliveries, notifying the Foreman when delivered items are not in compliance with welding specifications or project specifications
• Ensure all work is executed with an emphasis on quality
• Verify all welds are cleaned, stenciled, clear coated and visually inspected daily
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Reading and interpreting spool drawings and blueprints
• Assembling components so they are ready for installation
• Perform welding, brazing, cutting, heating, and bending of all types and sizes of metals
• Welds small, medium, and large bore pipe of various metals and alloys.
• Modifies, cleans, and maintains pipe systems, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
• Must understand and follow Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
• Must understand and follow all Hot Work Procedures.
• Responsible for submitting accurate weekly time sheet labor codes to the Foreman
• Ensure you have the tools, consumables and equipment needed to safely and successfully complete the project tasks assigned
• Assembles and secures pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing.
• Ensure all welding is conducted in accordance with CIMCO’s welding procedures
• Attend Foreman’s safety meeting and engage in Tool Box Talks as needed
• Monitors all tooling assigned during the day to safeguard against theft and locks all tooling up at the end of the day
• Must be able to weld in all positions and conditions
• Works with the site Foreman to ensure all welding filler metals and gasses are correct
• Notifies the site Foreman when welding consumables are low and need to be restocked
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks daily
• Must be able to read and interpret P&, schematics in order to install all equipment and piping per drawings specifications
• Carrying out routine maintenance checks on all CIMCO power tools and welding machines assigned
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job, an individual must be able to successfully perform each essential duty defined above. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• Candidates must be able to pass 6G test(s) in accordance to ASME - B31.5 and B31.3 prior to be considered for hire.
• Education:

Vocational School or Equivalence preferred
• Field

Experience:

3 - 5 years’ experience as an industrial pipe welder preferred
• Good English communication skills (verbal and in writing) required
• Must be able to work beside all personality types in the field
• Obtain and/or maintain a passport for travel, preferred
• Work out of town for prolonged periods of time required
• Have adequate transportation for out of state travel required
• Work all overtime required by project schedule required
• Assist working on holiday shutdowns as needed required
• The ability to obtain OSHA 10 & 30 training certifications after hiring required

• Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
• Ability to work over 5ft above the ground; must not have fear of heights
• Ability to work in confined spaces and trenches
