Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a committed and professional Cleaner to join their hardworking team on a temporary basis for an IMMEDIATE START! If you love to keep everything in pristine condition and are meticulous with cleaning, this might be the perfect opportunity for you! As a cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a professional and welcoming clean work environment. Your responsibilities will be cleaning and sanitizing the equipment, laboratories, and work areas. This is a comfortable shift of 7am-3:30pm with a transit accessible location! Perform regular cleaning, dusting and sanitizing of spaces including equipment, floors, and surfaces in the laboratories, kitchen and facility.

Collect and launder employee lab coats, cloths, mop heads and ensure clean ones are available for immediate use.

Restock and organize cleaning supplies and materials and ensure all materials and supplies are properly labelled.

Ensure building security by locking doors and checking electrical appliances.

Previous experience in a cleaning or custodial role in an industrial or laboratory setting is preferred.

Good understanding of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety protocols.

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform light physical labour such as lifting and carrying cleaning supplies.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

WHMIS and TDG training would be considered an asset.
