Job Description
This contractor position requires actively spot checking, stepping in for your team as needed, and continuously training and guiding team members. This is not a “hands-off” role. The work is based across several properties in Ottawa. This role requires flexibility in working days, including Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as weekends when needed.

• 40 hours a week

• Monday to Friday and Weekends (as needed)

Job Type: Contractor – Full-time
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hour

Scope of Work
• Perform spot checks and cleaning services 5 days a week and submit weekly QA inspections.
• Coordinate a team of 8–12 cleaners to ensure services are delivered according to the scope of work across several project sites.
• Organize weekend service coverage with the team. Contractors are expected to personally cover services if the team falls short and no replacement coverage can be arranged.
• Continuously coach and train team members to maintain excellent cleanliness standards, safe chemical usage, and proper equipment conditions.
• Monitor and maintain supplies and inventory, ensuring all cleaning equipment is safe and well maintained.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients at the worksite.

Haves to Be Considered:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a cleaning/janitorial team supervisor.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a commercial cleaner, preferably in heavy-duty luxury commercial or residential high-rise environments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate each team member’s daily workflow according to the scope of work.
• Solid knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, including carpet cleaning, floor polishing, mirrors/windows, stainless steel care, and daily/weekly/periodic services.
• Mobile phone with internet access.
• Ability to use technology on a phone or laptop to complete reports and upload photos.
• Ability to respond to client requests in a timely manner.
• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual English/French preferred.

• You’ll receive a draft invoice to confirm your hours
