Job Requirements

Role Requirements To step confidently into this role, you need a Grade 12 qualification. This foundation helps you understand procedures, follow guidelines accurately, and carry out your responsibilities with confidence. It also supports your ongoing development, as we continue to create learning opportunities that help you build your capabilities for the future. You bring 0-5 years' experience in using basic cleaning equipment and an understanding of how to handle cleaning chemicals and materials safely. Experience in environments that operate with strict hygiene standards, such as healthcare or laboratory settings, is particularly valuable, as it helps you navigate both routine and specialized cleaning needs. Familiarity with safe disposal of general and hazardous waste is an advantage and contributes to a workplace that remains safe for everyone.
Skill Requirements

This role calls for a blend of practical skills and the ability to work with purpose. Strong time‑management and attention to detail help you complete tasks efficiently while always maintaining high cleanliness standards. You are able to follow instructions confidently and work either independently or as part of a team, supporting shared goals while taking responsibility for your own tasks.

You understand the basics of stock control, recognizing when supplies need replenishing and ensuring shortages are reported in good time. You are also familiar with maintaining routine cleaning equipment, taking care to keep vacuums, polishers, and other tools in good working order. These skills help keep daily operations running smoothly and create a dependable environment for those around you.
