Our department supports the full PCPF-Offsite portfolio, including all HAL locations, with operations reporting to the Med Center. We play a vital role in ensuring that all offsite buildings remain safe, reliable, and fully functional for our patients, visitors, and staff.

In this role, you can expect dynamic, hands-on work each week. Responsibilities include responding to Maximo work orders, completing preventive maintenance on plumbing and medgas equipment, and conducting outage investigations. You will also review Joint Commission requirements for plumbing systems, support construction projects by reviewing plumbing and medgas drawings, and address plumbing issues or leaks across the portfolio. Every day brings opportunities to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and directly contribute to building safety and compliance.

Our department is a great place to work because your efforts make a meaningful difference every single day. You'll collaborate closely with customers across our sites, ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and patient care. If you're passionate about impactful work in a supportive, mission-driven environment, you'll thrive here.

Patient Care and Prevention Facilities (PC&PF) is fundamental to the daily operations of MD Anderson Cancer Center. This department ensures all of the hospital's facilities are safe, operational, and compliant with accreditation standards. It fosters an environment of growth and professional development by cultivating the skills necessary to oversee the vital maintenance operations needed throughout the institution. PC&PF also plays a longitudinal role for the institution in overseeing the construction of new facilities and the modernization of existing buildings through new software and monitoring initiatives. All of this makes PC&PF a vital and integral department in delivering world class cancer care to patients.
