Servest Security requires 1 x Grade C1 Security Officer - Gardens

The National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector sets the minimum wage at R7,125 per month for Grade E security officers working a 45-hour week, effective 1 April 2026. This is higher than the national minimum wage of R31.26 per hour. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 45 hours.

Foreign nationals require a General Work Visa (previously known as Critical Skills or General visa) sponsored by a PSIRA-licensed employer, valid for 5 years maximum. Application fee is R1,520, and processing takes 8-10 weeks at a VFS centre. A job offer and SAQA-accredited qualifications evaluation are mandatory.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have no criminal record, and pass the PSIRA Grade E competency exam after basic training. No prior experience or matric certificate is required for Grade E. South African ID or permanent residency is needed for registration.

Submit certified ID copy, two ID-sized photos, proof of residential address not older than 3 months, and SAPS police clearance. PSIRA application form and fee of R320 apply, with processing in 4 weeks. Employers require these plus a medical fitness certificate.
