We are looking for an experienced Trade Electrician to join our team in Polokwane, Limpopo. This is a hands-on position suited to a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
• Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety regulations including lockout and tagout procedures when working on energised equipment.
• Install and commission solar photovoltaic systems including panel mounting, inverter connection, battery integration, and system configuration.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed including test results, materials used, and time spent for job costing and compliance.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure including thermal imaging of panels and testing protective devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in industrial machinery, control panels, motor circuits, and building systems using testing equipment.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies during and outside normal hours as part of a standby rotation.

Requirements
• A wireman's licence issued by the Department of Employment and Labour and electrical contractor registration where required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to systematically diagnose faults and identify root causes rather than just symptoms.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments including multimeters, insulation testers, earth loop impedance testers, and clamp meters.
• A recognised trade certificate in electrical engineering or national diploma in electrical engineering from a registered institution.
• Thorough knowledge of SANS 10142 wiring code and the Occupational Health and Safety Act as applied to electrical work.
• A minimum of three to four years of post-qualification experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or construction.
