Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their operations team. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring a strong understanding of electrical systems in an industrial setting. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves working with high-voltage systems and complex industrial control panels.

Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in industrial facilities. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing instruments and tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and repair. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to minimize downtime. Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Inspect and test electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs. Perform routine inspections of machinery and control systems. Work with a variety of electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, motors, and lighting. Respond to emergency repair calls as needed. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. Qualifications: Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician (minimum 3 years). Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints. Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Solid understanding of safety standards and electrical codes (e.g., SANS). Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if required. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Good physical condition and manual dexterity. Valid driver's license. Commitment to a safe working environment. The position is based in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA , and requires the successful candidate to be present on-site for all scheduled work shifts.
