Job Title: Welder โ€“ 1st Shift (Direct Hire)

Location: Garden City, NY 11530

Position Summary:

Adecco is partnering with a leading aerospace company to hire an experienced Welder for an Immediate Direct Hire opportunity . This role involves TIG welding aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel heat transfer components and sub-assemblies for aerospace applications. The position requires a high level of precision, strict adherence to aerospace specifications, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

Shift:

1st Shift โ€“ 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Weld assemblies according to weld specifications, schedules, method sheets, and blueprints

Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, incomplete fusion, cracks, undercuts, or arc strikes

Repair and fabricate components using cutting, burning, and welding techniques

Monitor welding and fitting processes to prevent overheating, distortion, or warping

Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces

Maintain and organize welding equipment and work areas

Report faulty equipment or defective materials to supervisors

Required Skills & Abilities:

Onsite welding proficiency test is required

Strong proficiency in TIG welding based on specifications and blueprints

Ability to inspect weld quality and identify defects

Experience training or mentoring other welders preferred

Education & Experience:

High School diploma required; trade school certification preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience welding aluminum and stainless steel

Ability to weld in compliance with AWS D17.1 aerospace standards and pass certification

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Physical Requirements:

Ability to weld in vertical, flat, and overhead positions

Strong manual dexterity and hand stability for precision work

Close vision required for detailed inspection

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally

Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, walk, and carry materials throughout the facility

Pay Details: $24.00 to $35.00 per hour
