Job Overview:

The Opportunity: You will serve as a high-level technical expert, executing critical welding tasks across complex commercial HVAC and mechanical systems. This role empowers you to work independently on high-profile New York City jobsites where your craftsmanship directly impacts project structural integrity. How You Will Make an Impact:
• Execute precision welding on black iron and stainless steel piping systems to ensure leak-proof mechanical performance.
• Construct and secure commercial-grade ductwork installations using advanced welding techniques tailored for HVAC environments.
• Interpret complex mechanical drawings and blueprints to translate engineered designs into accurate field installations.
• Navigate active commercial jobsites independently, maintaining strict adherence to FDNY safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Analyze field conditions to resolve technical installation obstacles and prevent project delays.
• Maintain a high standard of quality control across all welded joints and structural supports to meet rigorous industry codes.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on field experience specifically within commercial HVAC or mechanical construction.
• Proven expertise in welding black iron piping, stainless steel piping, and heavy-gauge commercial ductwork.
• Extensive experience working in active commercial jobsite environments, not limited to shop-only backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex field tasks with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Advanced knowledge of diverse mechanical piping systems and specialized HVAC installation workflows.
• Demonstrated history of mentorship or leading small teams during complex mechanical installs.
• Strong organizational skills for documenting field progress and managing site-specific safety requirements.
