Job Description
We are seeking a seasonal Welder Fabricator to become an integral part of our team!

Perform a wide range of welding including MIG/ARC welding. Familiar with cutting pipe, building jigs, and prepping materials. Works from sales orders and/or verbal instructions in locating material and processing. Activities primarily consist of welding standard size gate frames, along with other miscellaneous welding as necessary. MUST KNOW HOW TO WELD ALUMINUM.

Responsibilities

1.) Uses verbal or written instructions from work orders and collects materials for processing

2.) Cuts pipe using pipe cutting equipment

3.) Lays out pipe sections on a jig or table and welds with MIG/ARC welding equipment and techniques, applies cold galvanizing solution to protect welds

4.) Performs visual inspection on completed work, ensuring quality

6.) Maintains a clean and safe work area

7.) Performs other warehouse and gate fabrication duties as required

Qualifications
β€’ 2-3 yrs. welding experience with MIG, ARC welding
β€’ Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 75lbs)
β€’ Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
β€’ Proficient in blueprint reading and execution from a plan
β€’ Ability to perform own layouts using jigs
β€’ Ability to work around heat and chemicals
β€’ Must be able to work overtime as needed
β€’ Multiple years of steel experience required, and can set machines themselves
β€’ Some aluminum experience preferred, but must at least show proficiency in weld test
β€’ Understands more complex blueprints, and can interpret welding symbols
β€’ Confident they’re able to pass D1.1 and D1.2 certification tests within first 90 days of employment
β€’ Measurement reading down to 1/32” and can do the relevant math
β€’ Experience working with tools
