Job Description
Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. We seek for a Production and Maintenance Expert (Senior) for our Gebze Plant (Kocaeli) and the ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:Bachelor’s degree (Preferably, electrical or mechanical engineering)Minimum 7 years of experience in a production-based organization as Production and MaintenanceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSAP knowledgeGood team memberAnalytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approachFluency in English both written and verbal Planning, supervising and controlling of operations in the plant to ensure continuity of production without any interruptions and also considering health & safety, quality and financial issues.Supervising workers, production/ maintenance technicians and all contractors on sitePreferably automation experience (PLC/SCADA)Preferably experience in electrical and electronic maintenance.Responsibilities: Maintenance and ProductionResponsibility of all maintenance activities including planning, monitoring and controllingPlanning weekly/monthly and annual maintenance programs according to group plan and conducting planned maintenance activities.Planning weekly and monthly production programs according to customer demands and conducting process improvement activities.Workshop management Spare part management and reportingPreparing the purchase plan of needed sparesSupporting the budget plan of plant.An active player in plant projects.Conducting risk analysis for critical failures.Organizing maintenance activities with production.Closely follow -up plant requirements for production/maintenance activities.Taking actions and making root cause analysis for the breakdowns and repeating defects.Maintaining lean manufacturing activities like 5S.Collaborating work with production team for managing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities in production lines to provide continuous and high performance production.Leading teams for continuous improvement by acting in close cooperation both supervisors and blue collar employees for operations.Tracing performance on production level and explore opportunities with necessary analysis for further improvement projectsProjectManaging projects according to the contractual and technical guidelinesPlanning and executing the projects within defined time, quality and budget constraintsFollow commissioning and start-up stagesDevelop continuous improvement projects to eliminate losses and to increase machine efficienciesEnvironmental Health & Safety ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for documentation concerning maintenanceSupervising to plant maintenance to be in line given specificationPlanning of training for manpower, implementation and documentationWaste inventory and arrangement of disposalLead to Health and Safety Management System in the plantPlanningProduction lead time planning with supply chain teamPlanning of auxiliary materials for needed production
