Landing packing staff jobs in Thailand ain't always easy
From what I've seen after a few years here, packing staff jobs pop up in factories around Bangkok and the industrial zones. Thing is, you gotta know where to look and what they actually want.
Pay starts low but you get used to it fast. Some places offer dorms too which helps if you're coming from outside.
Basic stuff they look for
Most spots want you to be quick with your hands and okay standing for long shifts. No fancy degrees needed. Just show up on time and follow the line.

- Age usually 18 to 45
- Some Thai language helps but not always required
- Health check before starting
I've known people who got in with zero experience. They learned on the job in a week or two.
Where the work actually happens
Factories near Rayong and Chonburi pull a lot of packing roles for export stuff. Food processing plants too. Tourism spots sometimes need seasonal packers for souvenirs but those come and go.
Big difference between day shifts and night ones. Nights pay a bit more but mess with your sleep.
Look, not every listing online is legit. I check Facebook groups first because real workers post there.
Pay and hours breakdown
Starting around 12k to 15k baht a month. Overtime pushes it higher during busy seasons. Minimum wage rules apply but some smaller places try to skirt them.
Honestly I wouldn't take anything under 300 baht a day without meals included.
And watch out for agencies that charge big fees upfront. That's a red flag every time.
Visa and paperwork side
Foreigners usually need work permits. Thai nationals have it easier obviously. If you're not local, sort the visa first or the job offer means nothing.
Some companies help with the permit process. Ask about that during interviews.
Real talk though, a lot of these roles go to locals first so competition can be stiff in certain areas.
Tips from folks already doing it
Bring your own gloves if the factory doesn't supply good ones. Small thing but saves your hands after months.
Stay hydrated. Those warehouses get hot fast even with fans.
Network with other packers. They hear about openings before the ads go up.
Shifts can stretch during peak export months. Be ready for that.
One more thing - some places do team packing so you need to get along with others or it gets awkward quick.
