Warehouse Associate: Packing, Labeling

As per the Ministry of Manpower, foreign workers from traditional source countries in packing jobs must earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$1,400, while those from North Asian sources require S$1,700 as of 2026. This applies to Work Permit holders in manufacturing where packing falls. Salaries must be paid via bank transfer or cashless within 7 days after the salary period.

The Ministry of Manpower requires a Work Permit for semi-skilled packing roles, applicable to workers from approved source countries like Malaysia, China, India, and Bangladesh. Employers apply online via WP Online with a processing fee of S$105 and monthly levy of S$450 for basic-skilled manufacturing workers as of 2026. Malaysians may use the Work Permit Online or short-term options up to 90 days without quota.

The Ministry of Manpower states no minimum education or experience is required for Work Permit packing jobs classified under manufacturing or process work. Singapore citizens and permanent residents face no formal eligibility barriers beyond being at least 16 years old. Employers must ensure workers pass a pre-employment medical examination.

Employers must submit the job seeker's passport particulars page, recent photo, medical examination report, and employment contract via MOM's WP Online system. Processing takes up to 3 weeks for manufacturing sector packing jobs, followed by issuance of In-Principle Approval (IPA) valid for 6 months. The worker then completes medical screening and fingerprinting at an Employment Pass Services Centre.
