Security officer for Warehouse (Eastern)

Under the Progressive Wage Model, the qualifying salary for entry-level security officers is S$2,860 per month effective from 1 September 2025. Employers must comply with this rate for both locals and Work Permit holders. Higher grades like senior security officers start at S$3,300 per month.

Foreign workers from approved source countries like Bangladesh, China, and India can apply for Work Permits for security guard roles, with a minimum qualifying salary of S$2,860 per month and a monthly levy of S$450 in the standard tier. The maximum employment period is 14 years for males aged 18-50. Employers must meet a 35% local worker quota.

No prior experience or minimum education like O-Levels is required, but applicants must be at least 18 years old, medically fit with no serious vision or hearing issues, and complete the 16-hour WSQ Basic Security Course costing S$240. Singapore Citizens, PRs, and Work Permit holders are eligible. A clean criminal record is mandatory.

Submit NRIC or passport, recent passport photo, medical examination report from MOM-approved clinic (S$45-S$60 fee), and WSQ course certificate during licence application via SPF e-services portal. Employers handle Work Permit applications for foreigners via MOM portal with additional dependency proof. Processing takes 5-10 working days for licences.
