Light Vehicle Driver positions in Jeddah

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the minimum wage for Saudi nationals employed as drivers in the private sector is SAR 4,000 per month as set by Resolution No. 51767 dated 10/6/1442 H, effective through 2026. This excludes additional mandatory benefits like SAR 300 housing allowance and SAR 400 transport allowance. Overtime pay is calculated at 150% of regular hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day.

As per Qiwa platform, foreign drivers require a temporary work visa followed by an Iqama residence permit sponsored by an employer, valid for 1-2 years and renewable up to 5 years maximum. The employer pays SAR 2,000 visa issuance fee and SAR 650 annual Iqama fee. Applicants must pass a medical exam costing SAR 500 and provide a home country driving license.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, driver job applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Category 3 driving license, and have at least 2 years of driving experience verified by a home country authority. No formal education is required beyond basic literacy. Saudi nationals must register on the Qiwa platform for job matching.

As per Qiwa, required documents include a valid passport, attested home country driving license, 6-month bank statement showing SAR 5,000 balance, medical fitness certificate, and police clearance. Employers upload these via the Qiwa portal for work permit approval within 7 days. Job offer contract must specify SAR 4,000 minimum salary for Saudis.
