Plumbers - Doha

As per the Ministry of Labour, all private sector contracts including for plumbers must specify a basic wage of at least QAR 1,000 per month under Cabinet Resolution No. 15 of 2017, unchanged in 2026. Additional mandatory allowances are QAR 500 for accommodation and QAR 300 for food if not provided in kind, making minimum total compensation QAR 1,800 monthly.

Foreign plumbers require employer sponsorship for a work visa applied through the Ministry of Labour's HRIS portal, valid for 1-5 years based on contract length as of 2026. The process requires employer approval, followed by entry permit (free visa on arrival for job), then Residence Permit (RP) within 60 days of entry costing QAR 1,000.

Plumbers must have at least 2 years of relevant experience verified by attested certificates; no high school diploma required but vocational training from accredited institutes preferred. Applicants aged 21-50 must pass a medical fitness test and may need skills verification at Ministry-approved centers costing QAR 100.

Employer submits passport copy (valid 6+ months), 2 attested experience letters, medical fitness certificate, 4 passport photos, and signed contract via HRIS portal. Process takes 5-10 working days for approval; upon arrival, complete biometrics for RP valid 1 year renewable, fee QAR 200.
