SECURITY GUARD (MALE)

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum basic wage for private sector workers including security guards is QR 1,000 per month as of 2026. Employers must provide accommodation and food allowances totaling at least QR 500 monthly or equivalent in kind. Overtime pay is QR 25 per hour at 125% rate for the first 4 hours daily.

Foreign security guards require a free zone or private sector work visa sponsored by the employer, followed by a 1-year renewable residence permit costing the employer QR 300 annually as of 2026. The employer applies via the MOL portal after entry visa and medical test completed within 30 days. Approval takes 5 working days.

Applicants must be aged 21-55, physically fit with minimum height 165 cm for males, and hold a high school certificate or equivalent as of 2026. No prior experience required if completing 40-hour MOI-approved training and passing fitness test. Clean criminal record verified by home country police certificate.

Required documents include passport valid 6 months, 4 passport photos, medical fitness certificate from Hamad Medical Corporation, attested employment contract, and bank statement as of 2026. Employer uploads to MOL Unified Portal for pre-approval before arrival. Process fee QR 200 paid by employer.
