Job Description
Job Summary:

The SMAW Welder is responsible for performing welding and fabrication work using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process. The role involves reading blueprints, preparing materials, welding metal components, and ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding using the SMAW (Stick Welding) process.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Cut, fit, align, and weld metal components according to project requirements.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure quality workmanship.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Follow workplace safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Repair and reinforce damaged metal structures and equipment.
• Assist in fabrication, installation, and assembly of metal products and structures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
