Job Description
Filinvest Hotel: QUEST PLUS CONFERENCE CENTER MANILA In accordance with the policies, procedures, and engineering standards of Quest Plus Conference Center Manila, the Plumber is responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of plumbing, sanitary, and water supply systems throughout the hotel. The role ensures that all plumbing facilities and fixtures are functioning efficiently and safely to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction. The Plumber is also expected to assist in preventive maintenance programs, energy conservation initiatives, and compliance with safety and fire & life safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operations Conduct regular inspection of plumbing fixtures, water supply systems, sanitary lines, toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and related facilities in both front and back-of-house areas. Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests, work orders, and maintenance concerns raised by various departments. Monitor and record utility consumption and operational conditions of plumbing-related equipment and systems. Coordinate with the Engineering team and assist other technicians in the completion of maintenance and repair activities when necessary. Prepare accurate shift reports, maintenance updates, and status reports on completed and pending work orders. Recommend the purchase of necessary tools, spare parts, and materials required for preventive maintenance and repair works. Learn, understand, and comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and engineering operational standards. Repairs and Maintenance Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing and sanitary systems on a regular basis or as assigned by superiors. Troubleshoot plumbing issues and execute repairs for leaks, clogged drains, damaged fixtures, and other plumbing-related concerns. Prepare material estimates and ensure proper utilization of tools, equipment, and supplies. Observe proper engineering practices and ensure quality workmanship in all maintenance and installation activities. Energy Conservation Support the hotel's energy and water conservation programs by practicing efficient resource utilization. Recommend improvements or modifications to plumbing systems to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. Safety Ensure compliance with Fire & Life Safety standards, occupational safety regulations, and proper use of tools and equipment at all times. Participate in safety drills, departmental trainings, and hotel-organized Fire & Life Safety programs. Others Assist other Engineering personnel in addressing maintenance concerns in other technical areas whenever necessary or assigned by Management. Attend technical trainings and multi-skilling programs organized by the department to enhance knowledge and competencies. Qualifications At least a graduate of Technical/Vocational course in Plumbing, Mechanical Technology, or any related field. With at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in plumbing works, repairs, and maintenance, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial establishment. Knowledgeable in plumbing systems, sanitary works, water supply systems, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of plumbing tools, equipment, and repair techniques. Able to work independently and respond efficiently to maintenance concerns and emergency repairs. Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties when necessary. Willingness to work in Muntinlupa City.
