This includes basic pay and housing allowance, with overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 48 per week. Employers must register contracts via the Tawjeeh system to comply.

Foreign plumbers require a Category 3 work residence visa sponsored by an Omani employer, valid for 2 years and renewable. The employer applies through the Ministry of Labour's Tawjeeh portal for work permit approval (20 OMR fee), followed by ROP visa issuance (12 OMR). Medical fitness test and police clearance are mandatory before entry.
Q What are the eligibility criteria for plumber jobs in Oman, like experience or education?
No formal education is required, but applicants need at least 3 years of verifiable plumbing experience and must pass a trade skills test administered by the Ministry of Labour.
