Citycare Water is proud to have been selected as the preferred contractor for the Dunedin City Council 3 Waters Maintenance Contract. As we prepare for the new contract commencing 1 July 2026, we’re expanding our team and have a range of vacancies available now, with more roles to come.This is an exciting time to join us — the new 10-year contract provides long-term stability, meaningful career pathways, and the chance to be part of a team delivering essential services for the Dunedin community.Current Vacancies LabourersWork alongside experienced crews on essential network tasks.Hands-on role for people who enjoy physical and practical work and a strong pathway into technical roles. Water Technicians (2 roles available)Play a key role in maintaining and operating water networks. Work outdoors, solve practical problems, and help ensure safe, reliable services for the community. DrainlayerWork with a supportive crew installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems. Opportunities to gain recognised trade qualifications. Join a skilled team working in critical underground infrastructure across Dunedin. Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS)Lead safe work zones and support field teams. Support crews in the field and help keep our teams and the public safe. What You’ll NeedRelevant experience and/or relevant qualifications for the role you are interested in.You will be Health & Safety focused.We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster.You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.A full class 1 licence and an ability to drive a manual is also essential. All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction.
