Le poste étant situé aux États-Unis, la description de poste est disponible uniquement en anglais. - As this position in based in the United States, the job description is available in English only._ - Shunter Driver On-Call Position As a shunter driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe movement and parking of trailers around our often tight sites. The job role of a shunter driver involves the following duties: - Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers (53’ dry box, flat beds and other custom trailers) around a construction site; - Adhering to health and safety guidelines; - Inspecting vehicles and trailers; - Coupling and uncoupling trailers; - Safely parking trailers; - Maneuvering loaded and empty trailers; - Showing respect and concern for work equipment; - Being autonomous, available, cautious, courteous, and resourceful; - Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements: - Valid driver's license with appropriate class and endorsements and valid to drive in N-America (Canada, USA, Mexico); - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position; - Experience in operating trucks and trailers; - Ability to maneuver vehicles in tight spaces; - Experience in driving heavy machinery and loading and unloading will be an asset; - Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures; - Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatcher and other team members; - Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, including at times, nights, weekends and holidays; - Ability to drive an automatic and manual transmission trucks and shunt trucks; - Have good skills to maneuver equipment in reverse; - Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: coupling and uncoupling trailers, climbing in and out of vehicles crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 75lbs unassisted, etc.; Full list of essential functions will be sent in the offer.
