As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum monthly salary for entry-level packing workers in the private sector is 220 KWD as of January 2026. This includes basic pay with overtime at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. Employers must disburse wages through the Wage Protection System by the 5th of each month.

Foreign workers require an Article 18 work residence permit sponsored by a Kuwaiti employer, valid for up to 3 years and renewable. The employer files the application with a job offer contract, passport copy, and medical fitness report from an approved clinic. Processing takes 10-15 working days.

No higher education is required; completion of secondary school is sufficient for unskilled packing roles. Applicants must be aged 21-55 years and pass a basic medical examination. Prior warehouse or packing experience is not mandatory for entry-level positions.

Required documents include a valid passport copy, 4 passport-sized photos, attested educational certificates, and a medical fitness certificate. The employer submits these to PAM along with a signed employment contract specifying 220 KWD minimum salary. Approval is granted within 14 days if complete.
