Building Guard

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum salary for security guard contracts approved for work permits is KWD 275 per month as of January 2026. This includes basic pay with overtime calculated at 1.25 times the hourly rate equivalent to KWD 1.67 per hour based on 208 working hours monthly. Employers must deposit salary guarantees of KWD 275 monthly via PAM portal.

Foreign applicants need a sponsor-approved work permit from PAM costing KWD 10, followed by a 3-year Article 18 residency visa from Ministry of Interior within 90 days. Medical exam and fingerprinting at KWD 25 must be completed. Visa renewal costs KWD 15 annually.

Candidates must be 21-50 years old, physically fit with height minimum 165 cm for males, and have at least 1 year security experience. No high school diploma required, but clean criminal record verified by home country police certificate is mandatory. Pass Kuwait medical fitness test for KWD 20.
