Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles. Responsibilities
• Perform TIG welding on various materials, primarily metals, ensuring high standards of quality and precision
• Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment according to technical drawings and specifications
• Work with sheet metal and other materials to create custom parts and assemblies
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately to guide fabrication tasks

Experience
• Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Must be able to weld 2mm stainless but other general fabrication beneficial.
• Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Knowledge of sheet metal work, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes
• Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Potential to be working away from home.
• CSCS accreditation desirable but time will be given to gain accreditation.
