Location

Based from Greenford, West London, travelling to construction sites across London and the surrounding areas.

Purpose of the Role

To carry out high-quality on-site welding, fabrication, repairs and modifications to structural steelwork on construction sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required specifications.

The successful candidate will work independently and alongside site teams, carrying out welding and fabrication in live construction environments while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and health & safety.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out on-site welding and fabrication of structural steelwork.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings and site instructions.
• Perform site modifications, strengthening works, repairs and alterations to installed steelwork.
• Work safely in accordance with company policies, site rules and current Health & Safety legislation.
• Complete welding records and any required site documentation.
• Liaise with site managers, supervisors, engineers and other trades to coordinate works.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good working order.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Recognised welding qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years' experience welding structural steel on UK construction sites.
• Experience with MMA welding (essential).
• Ability to read fabrication and engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible.
