As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum wage for packing staff in Egypt is 8000 EGP per month as of January 2026. Overtime rates are set at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. This applies to all private sector roles under Labour Law No. 12 of 2003.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, applicants must submit a valid national ID, birth certificate, and recent medical fitness certificate from a government hospital. A secondary school certificate or equivalent is mandatory along with two passport photos. Applications are processed via the Manpower electronic portal with a 15-day review period.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, packing staff work a maximum of 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week with Friday as the mandatory rest day. Employees receive 21 days of paid annual leave after one year of service plus 7 days of casual leave. Night shifts receive an additional 10% allowance.

As per the Ministry of Finance, packing staff earning under 24000 EGP annually pay 0% income tax in 2026. Earnings between 24000 and 48000 EGP are taxed at 10% after the 20000 EGP exemption threshold. Employers must deduct and remit taxes monthly via the unified tax portal.
