Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Cook specializing in Hakka Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indo-Chinese/Hakka dishes, kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high food quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
β’ Prepare and cook authentic Hakka dishes including noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chili chicken, soups, and specialty sauces
β’ Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
β’ Assist in menu planning and recipe development
β’ Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
β’ Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies
β’ Work efficiently during busy service hours
β’ Train and support junior kitchen staff when required
Requirements
β’ Minimum 1β2 years of experience cooking Hakka or Indo-Chinese cuisine
β’ Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food safety practices
β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
β’ Team player with good communication skills
β’ Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in Canadian restaurant kitchens
β’ Food Handler Certification
β’ Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Hakka dishes
