Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Cook specializing in Hakka Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indo-Chinese/Hakka dishes, kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high food quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities
β€’ Prepare and cook authentic Hakka dishes including noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chili chicken, soups, and specialty sauces
β€’ Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
β€’ Assist in menu planning and recipe development
β€’ Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
β€’ Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies
β€’ Work efficiently during busy service hours
β€’ Train and support junior kitchen staff when required

Requirements
β€’ Minimum 1–2 years of experience cooking Hakka or Indo-Chinese cuisine
β€’ Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food safety practices
β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
β€’ Team player with good communication skills
β€’ Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications
β€’ Experience in Canadian restaurant kitchens
β€’ Food Handler Certification
β€’ Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Hakka dishes
