Job Description
Overview

Guru Kitchen + Bar is seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to support daily operations and lead our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Prior experience in restaurants, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly valued, along with familiarity with food service operations and POS systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Supervise, support, and train team members, including assisting with onboarding new staff
• Ensure all food handling and service standards comply with health and safety regulations
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately using POS systems (experience with Micros is an asset)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across dining and service areas
• Support inventory control, stock management, and ordering of supplies
• Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff and assisting with conflict resolution
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and quality standards
• Address guest feedback and concerns promptly to maintain high service standards
• Assist with coordinating events, promotions, and daily service flow

Qualifications & Skills
• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and service standards
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in training and supporting team members
• Hospitality or hotel experience is an asset
