Job Description
Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and customer-focused Restaurant Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent food service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, cashiering, and customer service.

Responsibilities
• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems.
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tables, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
• Ensure timely delivery of orders to customers, managing time effectively during busy periods
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

Experience
• Previous experience at Shawarma restaurant is mandatory.
• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering tools is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in serving or restaurant operations is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment is essential
• Must be a Permanent Resident, Work Permit holder, or Canadian Citizen
• Available to work flexible shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
