Job Description

Summary: Plumber/Gas Fitter, reporting to the Lead Hand, you will be responsible for plumbing related tasks involving the construction and renovation of relocatable modular structures. This position installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal according to plumbing scopes and prints. This is a remote position working at various site locations within the Fort St John surrounding area.

This position is safety sensitive and will require drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

The Plumber performs some or all the following duties:
• Complete tasks related to the planning, laying out of the plumbing components of the construction, repair and assembly of temporary and permanent buildings, additions, partitions and wood structures and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Tends to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs including cleaning for all plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment.
• Tests repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Accountable and responsible for the quality of all plumbing work performed on manufactured product to ensure it meets all company and/or contract standards with recommendations for improvements where needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Must be a registered Journeyman or Apprentice.
• Must have valid drivers license - Class 5 .
• Current clean Drivers abstract required
• 2 years plumbing work experience in construction settings.
• Working and practical knowledge of the applications of plumbing techniques and methods.
• Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade.
• Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to team members, and others.
• Perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
