Maintenance Technician

Location: Roxbury, Dorchester and Beacon HillThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance across multiple residential properties. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while supporting a diverse resident population.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Apartment turnoversPlumbing maintenance and repairElectrical maintenance and repairHVAC maintenance and repairAppliance repairHanging doors; replacing locks and keysCarpentry, drywall, and paintingFlooring installation and repairJanitorial services, groundskeeping, and snow removalMaintaining a high level of cleanliness and safety throughout all propertiesResponding to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely mannerParticipating in on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergenciesRequired Experience / SkillsAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingExcellent customer service skillsSelf-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to diagnose and remedy maintenance issues efficientlyReliable vehicle required to perform essential job dutiesAbility to work comfortably with individuals of varying racial/ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, languages, and socio-economic statusesComfort working with populations including, but not limited to:Chronically homeless individualsPeople living with HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis CIndividuals with substance use disordersIndividuals living with mental illnessInstructions To ApplyPlease email resumes to:[email protected]@[email protected] This!
