Security Officer - Gatehouse

We’re looking for an experienced Casual Gatehouse Security Officer (Level 4) to join a busy TGE Logistics site, helping keep vehicles, people, and freight moving safely and efficiently.This is a fast-paced logistics environment where you’ll be the first point of contact at the gatehouse, playing a key role in site access, safety, and security.If you enjoy structured work, staying busy, and working in a team that values safety and accuracy — this could be a great fit.About The RoleYou’ll be working in a 24/7 gatehouse environment, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring only authorised people and vehicles access the site.It’s a hands-on role where attention to detail, clear communication, and a strong safety mindset are essential.Key Responsibilities IncludeControlling site access and preventing unauthorised entryConducting vehicle and bag inspectionsCompleting accurate, real-time data entry into live national Excel spreadsheets (driver and vehicle information)Communicating frequently with TGE operations via two-way radio and phone systemsConducting site inductions for drivers and visitors as requiredMonitoring CCTV, access control, and electronic surveillance systemsOperating access control systems (issuing cards, locking/unlocking doors, auditing access)Recording incidents, breaches, and safety concernsAssisting with on-the-job training of other officersPerforming duties across Levels 1–3 when required (without deskilling)Work Environment – TGE SiteModern, fully heated and air-conditioned gatehouseHigh-risk logistics environment with continuous heavy vehicle movementPhysically active role with frequent walking between gatehouse and drivewaysBreaks taken at post when practical (officers cannot leave post)Free, secure on-site parkingMandatory RequirementsCurrent Security Licence – Cert II Current First Aid CertificateAbility to work independently and unsupervisedStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPhysically fit and safety focusedDriver’s LicenceBenefits & CultureProfessional, inclusive, and supportive work environmentOngoing training and career development opportunitiesAccess to a modern Learning Management System (LMS)Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and familiesWell-being programs covering mental, physical, and financial healthEmployee discounts at 400+ retailers Australia-wideIf you have experience in gatehouse security and thrive in a transport and logistics environment, we want to hear from you.Diversity Statement Within Certis Australia, we believe our strength lies in the diversity of our people.
