Electrician cum Plumber

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), entry-level plumbers under standard labor contracts earn a minimum of 2,500 AED per month as of January 2026. Overtime is compensated at 25% above the hourly rate, calculated as basic salary divided by 208 working hours per month. Skilled plumbers with 3+ years experience start at 4,000 AED per month.

Foreign plumbers require an employer-sponsored work permit from MOHRE costing 250 AED issuance fee plus 100 AED per month, followed by a 2-year residence visa from ICP at 370 AED processing fee as of 2026. A job offer and approved labor contract are mandatory before applying. Medical fitness test and Emirates ID costing 370 AED are also required within 60 days of arrival.

MOHRE requires a high school diploma or vocational certificate in plumbing plus at least 2 years of documented experience for work permit approval in 2026. Experience must be attested by home country authorities. UAE skills verification test may be needed for non-GCC applicants.

Required documents include passport copy valid for 6+ months, 4 passport photos, attested academic certificates, 2-year experience letters, and employer-submitted labor contract as per MOHRE guidelines for 2026. Medical fitness certificate from approved UAE center costs 350 AED. All non-English documents must be translated and attested for 200 AED fee.
